What would we do without the dedication and enthusiasm of our Members?!!

Various types of membership are available. A portion of each membership fee is applied toward Chapter work. You may also choose to volunteer your time to help us for Summer Pollination and for Fall Harvesting. Our activities are full of fun and purpose and are generally held outdoors in beautiful, natural settings. We invite you to visit us at our next meeting to discover how you can make a difference for generations to come! We are always happy to talk with you regarding specific contributions to the Carolina Chapter. Please contact Paul Sisco by email at paul@acf.org

Do you have pastureland with deep, well-drained silt-loam or sandy loam soil where you would like to grow chestnuts for our breeding program? Someone has to be on-site at all times to care for and protect the trees from deer, etc., and cooperators must sign a Germplasm Agreement that acknowledges that The American Chestnut Foundation retains ownership and control over the trees. If you'd like to participate in this way, CLICK HERE to register!

We collect and record all American Chestnut trees! Do you know the location of a flowering American chestnut tree that we could use in the chapter breeding program? If so, please send a leaf and twig sample to the Asheville Office, along with our CHESTNUT IDENTIFICATION FORM to verify it. We will then send you a locator form to fill out for our records.
